DAY 69 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER

Today was a very busy day.  I had 3 clients in both businesses!  I was pumping it!  I also was very hungry and had a whole small avocado and still stayed very good within the 80/10/10 parameters.

I have been presented a very good mirror - as we all are - with a mentoring student.  I am seeing my reflection of how refusal of change goes against my desire TO change.  When I say no to doing something in my best interests, I am saying no to life.  This has been a great lesson for me and one that I will have in my conscious mind as a reminder.

My sprout farming is doing excellent!  The Easy Sprouter way of sprouting is incredibly easy and I'm enjoying it.  All the new seeds are sprouting beautifully well.  I'll finally have a viable crop of Alfalfa and Clover by Tuesday.  My lentils and mung bean mix are ready to eat tomorrow.  I'll be planing my first wheatgrass tonight!  I'm stopping by the North End Organic Garden Center tonight and picking up more seed trays and a nice organic soil with kelp and bat droppings...LOL

Yesterday I ate watermelon, Banana-Citrus smoothie (5 cups), Proud Sprout Salad with Nan's.  For dinner I had a huge heirloom tomatoe with sprouts and avocado-lemon dressing.

My stats: 2725 calories; 86.4% carbs/ 8.4% fat/5.1% protein.  Water: 5187.4grms; Fiber: 77.4grms; Sodium 292.3mgs.

DAY 68 - HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN -- 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER

Normal work day and sprouting farm day.  I did start a batch of Alfalfa and Clover from the new seeds from SproutPeople.com.  So far so good.

Nothing much to say today.  Very busy in both businesses and with my sprouts and health and home life.  Doing more research on sprouting and thoroughly enjoying my participation in growing my own food.  Everyone should try it.  I appreciate what the small farmers go through and the co-op.  There is a lot to appreciate!  Hard work, persistence, dedication and a lot of know-how and heart.  Weather, watering, temperature variances all play a part in whether a crop grows, stagnates, dies.

We isolate ourselves from so much and say we are living.....HA!  Eat 100% raw and do a 92 day juice feast detox first and then START your journey to LIFE.  You won't believe the difference you will feel.  Cooked food is dead food.  Processed PHood is a fools adventure into slow death.

Yesterday I ate watermelon, 4 3/4 cups Banana-Mango smoothie; 14 dates; Proud Sprout salad with Nan's; Sunflower greens, mung bean sprouts, orange tomatoe with Cashew-Asparagus-Sweet Pepper dressing.

My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2641 calories; 87.1% carbs/7.5% fat/ 5.4% protein; Water:4556.8 grms; Fiber: 70.3grms; Sodium 320.9mgs.

DAY 67 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER

Some days feel like you are in a whirlwind.  Not just of activities but also of twists and turns.  That was my day yesterday.  I know to a large degree of how to handle myself mentally/emotionally when this occurs.  It still is an interesting personal dynamic.  I was exausted when the day was over and it took a while to get to sleep.

I ate watermelon, 5 cups of banana-apricot-blueberry smoothie; Proud Sprout salad with 1 serving of Zucchini-Asparagus-Tahini dressing; 12 dates; dinner was a large yellow heirloom tomatoe with sunflower greens, clover sprouts and 1/2 serving of Cashew-Asparagus-Sweet Pepper dressing.

I tested out some more clover and alfalfa sprouts in my new sprouters.  They did great until yesterday!  I realized that the source of my seed was the problem!  They were too old and were not sprouting correctly.  Oh well!  So, last night I switched to my supply of both from SproutPeople.com and again used the EasySprouter method.  I'll keep you posted.

I got my orders in from both Sprout People and Got Sprouts?.  I am almost ready to plant my 1st plot of wheatgrass!  I'll start it probably tomorrow.  In fact I'll start soaking the 1st batch of seed this morning.  It takes a lb of seed to do a 10 x 17 tray.  That's a lot of seed!  That also is a lot of wheatgrass!  I also received my wheatgrass juicer and various other types of seeds for sprouting.  I'm placing a large order this weekend with Sprout People for more seeds.

My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2689 calories; 82.5% carbs/10.3% fat; 7.2% protein; Water: 4535.2grms; Fiber: 67.2 grms; Sodium 335.2mgs.

DAY 66 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER

Yesterday I had a morning filled with putting fires out in my cleaning business.  Everything worked out, which they do always, now that I can think straight and have my clients interests as priority.  I'll be honest here --- while eating a Standard American Diet people are drugged and emotionally taxed and they won't see it until they detox and switch to a living foods diet!  I am amazed how often people say they "want" cheese, milk, etc., and actually it is an addiction that is running their choices.

I found a very good source for my sprouting seeds and supplies.  I search for knowledgeable individuals who are INVOLVED and available and run their own business.  SproutPeople.com is my source and I highly recommend them to everyone.  Their seeds are organic and great quality, their prices are very reasonable and their shipping costs are NOT bumped up for their profit.  I received my orders within a couple of days without any damage to the contents.  They have Youtube videos on how to do the sprouting and if you need to contact them via email they respond that day.  This weekend I am placing a very big order.  I want a months supply of seeds minimum on hand in reserve and probably more like 3 months.  It will take awhile to get to that point with all my other financial priorities.

They sell a device called an "Easy Sprouter" that is truly remarkable!  I am using it for my alfalfa and clover sprouts.  They sell them for around $14.00 each.  I ordered 4 more.  With the bigger seeds I am still sold on the glass jars.  The issue with sprouts is drainage #1, and #2 is temperature issues.  Since the outside temperatures are in the 100's the last 2 weeks I've lost 10 crops of alfalfa, clover and lentils together.  That isn't acceptable at my level of needing to grow for my daily use.  The "Easy Sprouter" keeps air circulation and drainage going on all the time.  My alfalfa and clover sprouts are doing great and I'll be enjoying them tomorrow after a final day of growth.  YUMMM

I'm getting excited about starting my wheatgrass growing again.  I love wheatgrass juice!  The supplies should be here by Friday and I'll start growing my crops this week. Yahoo!

My food yesterday: 60 ozs of water, watermelon, 5 cups of Banana-Mango smoothie; 12 dates and 2 bananas for snack, a wonderful Proud Sprout salad with red leaf lettuce added and Nan's dressing.  For dinner corn soup.  I need to change the recipe a bit.  It was ok but not wonderful.

My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2841 calories; 86% carbs/8.5%fat/5.5% protein; water: 5241.9gms; Fiber: 74.1grms; Sodium:237.4 mgrms.

I hope you all are upping your calories through fruit and decreasing your cooked/SAD diet.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.

DAY 65 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER

Another hot one today.  I find when the heat exceeds 95 I retain water and my appetite fluctuate and so does my weight/body fat%.  It stabilizes to normal of course.  Last year and all the years before in the summer heat I got sick so this is a piece of vegan cake for sure.

I ate watermelon; 6 cups of banana-apricot-blueberry smoothie; Proud Sprout salad with Nan's dressing; 12 dates and for dinner more watermelon.  I drank 60 ozs of water.

Cron-o-Meter stats: 3159 calories (wow!--and I dropped a whole pound!); 86% carbs/6.2% fat/7.8% protein; water:4865.7grms; Fiber:88.3grms; Sodium:179.8mgs.

A shocker:  I love heirloom tomatoes!  So much so I am going to grow them next year on my own from seeds from The Heirloom Seed company. Wish me luck!  I bought 4 of these babies this weekend and didn't know how much they cost until I glanced at the receipt: $20!!!!  Wow!!!!  They are good but they aren't gold.  So, again I need to stay conscious when purchasing.

Thanks for reading my short blog.  I have sunflower sprouts to harvest this morning so I'm short on time.

DAY 64 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER

Today I felt very tired from 4 days straight of very hard physical work.  I took a nap for the first time in months and felt better.  I got very little done except to recuperate and that was enough.

I did some more research on wheatgrass growing.  There are many methods and most are personal preferences and circumstances of growing.  I am still coming up with my game plan while I await my shipment of seeds and trays.  I am going to add some kelp to my sprouts - all of them.  I am a firm believer in using the sea to fortify our bodies and I'm not into eating oriental foods.  Most are not raw and loaded with chemicals when eating in restaurants.  I don't eat seaweed or nori.  This to me is the best and most organic way to get the nutrients missing in our soil.  Now to find a local supplier.

I ate watermelon, 6 dates and 2 bananas, a Proud Sprout salad with 1/2 cup of Nan's dressing.  For dinner I had red leaf lettuce with corn, heirloom tomatoes, clover sprouts and 1/2 serving of Cashew-Asparagus-Pepper dressing.

My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2602 calories; 86% carbs/8% fat/6% protein.  Fiber: 74.1grms; Water:5175.6grms/ Sodium:149.6mgs.

Have a great day everyone.

DAY 63 - HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER

I did 4 days in a row of all out hard work and didn't even have one bit of problem with my glycogen issues and muscle problem. NADA!  This is a miracle!  I cannot convey the joy I feel being healthy and fit.  In fact I am healthier now than I've ever been in my adult life.  Unbelievable but true!  This all because of the basics of the 80/10/10 program by Dr. Douglas Graham.  I do not follow the mono-meal aspect and I do have more complex meals, but hey!, I love how I eat!

Yesterday I had 80 ozs of water, watermelon, 6 cups of banana-apricot-blueberry smoothie; 2 bananas and 12 dates for snacks; Fettuccine-Alfredo with baby spinach, asparagus, tomatoes and alfalfa sprouts for lunch.  For dinner a Proud Sprout salad with avocado, orange tomatoes and 1/2 serving of my Cashew-Asparagus-Sweet Pepper dressing.

Thank you for reading my short blog.  Lots to get done on my "day off" today. LOL
