DAY 67 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
Some days feel like you are in a whirlwind. Not just of activities but also of twists and turns. That was my day yesterday. I know to a large degree of how to handle myself mentally/emotionally when this occurs. It still is an interesting personal dynamic. I was exausted when the day was over and it took a while to get to sleep.
I ate watermelon, 5 cups of banana-apricot-blueberry smoothie; Proud Sprout salad with 1 serving of Zucchini-Asparagus-Tahini dressing; 12 dates; dinner was a large yellow heirloom tomatoe with sunflower greens, clover sprouts and 1/2 serving of Cashew-Asparagus-Sweet Pepper dressing.
I tested out some more clover and alfalfa sprouts in my new sprouters. They did great until yesterday! I realized that the source of my seed was the problem! They were too old and were not sprouting correctly. Oh well! So, last night I switched to my supply of both from SproutPeople.com and again used the EasySprouter method. I'll keep you posted.
I got my orders in from both Sprout People and Got Sprouts?. I am almost ready to plant my 1st plot of wheatgrass! I'll start it probably tomorrow. In fact I'll start soaking the 1st batch of seed this morning. It takes a lb of seed to do a 10 x 17 tray. That's a lot of seed! That also is a lot of wheatgrass! I also received my wheatgrass juicer and various other types of seeds for sprouting. I'm placing a large order this weekend with Sprout People for more seeds.
My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2689 calories; 82.5% carbs/10.3% fat; 7.2% protein; Water: 4535.2grms; Fiber: 67.2 grms; Sodium 335.2mgs.

DAY 64 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
Today I felt very tired from 4 days straight of very hard physical work. I took a nap for the first time in months and felt better. I got very little done except to recuperate and that was enough.
I did some more research on wheatgrass growing. There are many methods and most are personal preferences and circumstances of growing. I am still coming up with my game plan while I await my shipment of seeds and trays. I am going to add some kelp to my sprouts - all of them. I am a firm believer in using the sea to fortify our bodies and I'm not into eating oriental foods. Most are not raw and loaded with chemicals when eating in restaurants. I don't eat seaweed or nori. This to me is the best and most organic way to get the nutrients missing in our soil. Now to find a local supplier.
I ate watermelon, 6 dates and 2 bananas, a Proud Sprout salad with 1/2 cup of Nan's dressing. For dinner I had red leaf lettuce with corn, heirloom tomatoes, clover sprouts and 1/2 serving of Cashew-Asparagus-Pepper dressing.
My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2602 calories; 86% carbs/8% fat/6% protein. Fiber: 74.1grms; Water:5175.6grms/ Sodium:149.6mgs.
Have a great day everyone.

DAY 62 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
Anyone who doubts this lifestyle hear this: I've been working full steam and then some since Wednesday of this week. I have been taking on new cleaning clients and deep cleaning their homes every day since Wednesday. This is not ordinary house work! Because of my eating program, hydration, high-carb (fruit), and sufficient rest I can do this and still stand upright the next morning! LOL This is a far cry from last year at this time when every day was a chore just getting out of bed. Please note that I'm doing this when it is 100 degrees outside which makes a major difference with the way the body performs. NO PROBLEMS! No seizures, no emotional turmoil, no big snits!
Yesterday I had watermelon, 5 1/2 cups Apricot-Banana smoothie; 12 dates 2 bananas for snack; Fettuccini-Alfredo on Spinach, tomatoes, sprouts, asparagus; Avocado, tomatoe, sprouts with Nan's dressing for dinner; 60 ozs of water.
My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2803 calories; 84.6 carbs/10% fat/5.5% protein; Fiber: 74.9%; Water: 4942.8grms; Sodium:164.7%
I need to jump in the shower and get ready for another big day. Tomorrow is a day of partial rest and I will indeed do that!
Thanks for reading.

DAY 61 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
Today I started a new cleaning client. I worked my tail fins off! And that was just on a small portion of their home. It hasn't had TLC from a cleaner in years! And I love working hard. My client was there for most of the time and she is a very friendly person. Their dogs were at the groomers so I didn't have to fend off their attention, LOL. I'll go back today and again Saturday. The house appreciated the attention and so did my client.
I've been thinking of getting back into growing wheatgrass. I'm checking out some seed and supply providers this Sunday. I've got the space and lighting/air circulation issues all figured out. I'll buy some shots this weekend and start doing a shot a day. I'm trying to up my greens in different ways. I'll be blogging about my progress on the wheatgrass issue. Yesterday I got my mini-salad spinner. I'm using it to de-hull the alfalfa/clover sprouts. It works swell. Don't ask the price...it was way too expensive! But it works and I can't find it locally. When I'm visiting my friend in Sacramento this October we will be going to several different stores that carry kitchen gadgets. I'm hoping to find some new kitchen toys to use in my raw food prep.
Yesterday I had plenty of water=80 ozs; watermelon; 5 cups banana-blueberry smoothie; Proud Sprout salad with Nan's dressing (I added some garlic, yummm); Dinner was Spinach, orange tomatoe, corn, sprouts with 1/2 serving of Sweet pepper-asparagus-cashew dressing.
My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2864 calories; 84% carbs/10% fat/6.1% protein; water:5235.3 grms;fiber:76.4 grms; sodium: 206.1mgs.

DAY 60 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
Short one today. I started a new client yesterday in my cleaning business. She's a hoot! She is a personal trainer and agrees to CARB UP! and reduce fat. She's open to anything about food and she did a 28 day vegan program and had incredible success. I gave her a big hug when she told me her views on diet and I will definitely share some real food with her.
I worked very hard yesterday and didn't have any issues with my glucose/muscles. A far cry from last year at this time. What a relief to be normal! All due to raw organic low fat high carb real FOOD!!!!
Yesterday I had 80 ozs of water, watermelon, 6 cups of banana-papaya-mango smoothie, a Proud Sprout salad with a new dressing that was wonderful: 1/2 small avocado with 2 Tbls of raw tahini or cashew butter and juice of 1/2 SMALL lemon. Of course I put some herbs in with it too. Add some water for a smoother consistency: about 1/4 cup. I blended this up using my personal size blender. It made about 3/4's cup enough for the large salad. YUMMM. I also had 1/2 serving of Zucchini-Asparagus-Tahini dressing on a lettuce based salad for dinner and 12 dates during the day.
Cron-o-Meter stats: 2767 calories!!! 82.5% carbs/11.4% fat/6.1% protein. Water: 5025.9 grms; Sodium:249.4 mgs, Fiber: 72.5 grms.
Have a wonderful day everyone. Thanks for reading my blogs.

DAY 59 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
I ordered some supplies and seeds/beans from GOTSPROUTS.COM. I am bumping up my production of sprouts and greens I grow myself. Ever since eating a daily sprout salad my purchase of greens from the co-op diminished to 1/2th the quantity. Daily I have a sprout salad for lunch and a leafy greens salad for dinner and I'm loving it! I am getting a range of micro-nutrients and mega nutrition from what I grow that I can never get in a grocery store. There's nothing better than harvesting your own food and cutting down fresh greens for a salad. It's economical also!
In addition to the above I placed another order with SPROUTPEOPLE.COM for other supplies. I avoid the big companies like the plaque! I give my resources ($$$$) to the small independents like myself who are INVOLVED with not only their product, but their employees and their customers. By the end of next week my front sun room area will be a true sprout farm with loads of charm! I'm probably even going to turn on the radio to the classical music station so they can grow with beautiful sound. LOL I know my cats enjoy it. It also keeps the house safer from burglars if you have music on while you are not home. Also leave a jar of loose change out in the open. While they are stealing that there is a chance they will rush out at the first sound of noise and leave your possessions. This happened to me one time.
Yesterday I ate watermelon, 5 cups of Banana-Mango smoothie, 11 dates, Proud Sprout Salad (my name!) with orange tomatoes, avocado and Cashew-Asparagus-Pepper dressing (yummm); 11 dates, Leafy salad with sugar snap peas, mushrooms, tomatoe, sprouts and Zucchini-Asparagus-Tahini dressing.
My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2267 calories (my calories are low this week, what gives??), 83.9% carbs/9.8% fat/6.3% protein/ Water: 4746.6 grms (80 ozs); Fiber: 64.8grms; Sodium: 197.5mgs.
I'm changing the time I get up in the morning from 3am to 4am. I need the extra hour to do some contemplation. I'll call it meditation time. As important as greens and carbs!
Enjoy your day in the sun and eat your greens and fruit up!

DAY 58 - HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
Today I made some decisions about some existing clients. The healthier I get, the more face-to-face interaction I want with people. I have decreased my on-line time from 8 hrs per day to 2 in the last 6 months. My businesses all are personal interaction and I thrive because of this. But 1 of my clients is an office and I never get to interact with the people. I don't like that! I've had them for over 10 years and have been holding on tenaciously eventhough not wanting to do the job any more. This weekend coming up will be my final weekend cleaning for them. A decrease in income but one that now I can handle.
We need human interaction! Using the internet as a passive way to "connect" is not cutting it for anyone. It is an addiction! I recommend everyone taking a good look at the way the internet is sucking the life out of you and your day. Be honest! Be brave! Take a stand and take action. Take action to go out physically into life itself and get connected with others physically. Hand write a letter; go for a walk in a public park; invite a neighbor over for some salad. Really take the risk to truly connect.
Yesterday I also heard from a long-time client. Their lifestyle has drastically changed and they are moving to a smaller place that is much easier for them to take care of. I am on my final cleanings with these fine people and I will miss them. Therefore I am taking action starting today to replace them so I am not left with another opening. Actually they are on the oposite side of town than my other client that day. It was always a hastle to get from one side of town to the other. This has been weighing on my mind for some time. Now it is time to get this handled.
I was very focused yesterday and didn't eat much by my standards. 60 ozs of water, watermelon, 5 dates, sprout salad with avocado and tomatoe with Zucchini-Asparagus-Tahini dressing. Later on in the evening I had a small salad with tomatoe, corn, and clover sprouts with 2 Tbls of ZAT dressing.
Cron-o-Meter stats: 1773 calories; 84%carbs/10%fat/6%protein water:3303.6 gms; Fiber:51.4 gms; Sodium:182.9grms
As those who read my blogs know I am an avid sprout grower. Sprout salads are a daily staple and are replacing 1/2 of my lettuce purchases. This saves money and is actually fun to do. I've been checking out different ways to grow sprouts, different sprouts to grow and places to purchase on-line supplies cheaper. Boise grocers are starting to really limit selection in an effort to drive the consumer to the internet! When a business starts to eliminate the desires of the public it always results in their demise. One of the many reasons I want to move back to Sacramento! It is much easier there to find what you are looking for.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my blogs.

DAY 57 -- HIGH CARB/LOW FAT RAW ORGANIC VEGAN - 80/10/10 CRON-O-METER
I can say this was my "day of reckoning" with finances. When I was given the bad news I received from my dear doctor/friend/811rv mentor/naturopath back in October I had to get through the shock of it all. It took about 2 weeks. Then I had to listen to some different game plans and come up with a program to get my weight and body fat down and my health the way it should be.
This is my 2nd time at raw vegan. Last time was in the '90's and I turned my doc and his wife onto the path of 811rv and then some. He thought since I saved their lives he would do the same with me. I fell not only off the wagon, but off the entire mountain of health because of lack of support. I was ridiculed actually, by co-workers, family and friends. There was no Internet support, nothing! It is a crucial element to success. This is why I have my mentoring business and why it is a success. Not only do I guide SAD eaters to a healthier alternative and hopefully to raw, but I also guide them through their own self-sabotage programing, which everyone has, and daily give them support and guidance.
After I took the flying leap, with his daily support, back to raw--overnight!--I did it 110%! I threw out everything that wasn't raw organic real 100% FOOD. I gave away many usable items, cleaned out my kitchen of all cooking pots, pans, etc., and replaced everything, including stocking my refrigerators (yes 2!) with real food. I started with green smoothies and went like a jet plane from there. I never have any second thoughts of what I did and I'm 100% grateful of the way things happened.
The only problem I had with doing the above was cash flow in my cleaning business. I was so sick that I let things deteriorate and stay that way until I got my health back. Now that I'm healthy I have built my business back up to a strong level and it will get even stronger in the next 6 weeks after vacations are over and children go back to school. Right now I'm stable with the flow of my business but I do like a cushion.
During this time I was recuperating I lived on credit to a large degree. I have plenty! This weekend I took a good look at my indebtedness and started the road back to credit card debt freedom. This isn't the only time I've had this happen. I've been debt free once in the last few years and close to the goal just before I got so sick. Illness is far more costly than organic produce! And, I wasn't hospitalized!
I worked all yesterday and a good portion of this morning on this project. I can say that I feel much better after looking at this mess I got myself in. I should be out of credit card debt in 24 months. I know me well enough that when I put my mind to something 100% it turns out better than expected and resolution comes much quicker.
Being credit card debt free is part 1 of a 3 part overall plan of action. Part 2 is saving enough money to physically relocate back to my heart's choice of Sacramento. Part 3 is a nest egg to live on for 3 months during which time I am setting up my 2 businesses on that end. I'll be moving in August and that is a great time to start a cleaning business. I'll be bringing my mentoring students with me via weekly Skype sessions and daily phone calls. I'll replace them on that end ASAP when one is through my program.
Yesterday I ate very little because I was so focused. I had to eat a larger meal at dinner to compensate. LOL This morning I am the same and need to finish this blog and eat my lunch.
I had watermelon; a mono-meal of 9 nectarines (858grms) I HATE MONO MEALS! unless it is melons!; 2 cups of Fettucinni-Alfredo on spinach with asparagus, orange cherry tomatoes (YUMMM), and alfalfa sprouts; 4 cups of Banana-Cranberry smoothie; 10 dates; Avocado, tomatoe, lentil salad.
My Cron-o-meter stats: 2270 calories; 84.5carbs/9.9fat/5.6protein; water:4189.3grms; fiber:75.2grms;sodium: 231.5mgs.
Thanks for reading my blog.
