DAY 20 LOW-FAT, HIGH-CARB, 80/10/10    OVERT FATS ARE NOT MY FRIEND

I started doing my 30 minute fast mall walk every morning.  This is not only a very good mild aerobic program for me, it gets me out of the house amongst others and is supposed to help me burn off some of the excess body fat I store so easily.  I am 5'2" petite frame female, weighing 119 lbs and 28% body fat. Rather out of kilter I'd say.  Remember last November I weighed a whopping 175 lbs with a 49% body fat level.  That was not only obese but dangerous.  I've come a long way baby.

Too much body fat no matter from what source is not healthy.  Some can consume moderate amounts of overt fats and be fine.  They do not follow 80/10/10 but they also do not store fat the way I do.  Many of these people are athletes, I am not.  Nor do I wish to be at this time.  Yes, I am physically active.  Yes I do additional aerobic exercise consistently.  Yes, I am starting a body modality exercise program tomorrow which will help.  However, I still have to watch my overt fats like a nun at a convent for way-ward girls.  It is that critical.

So, as of today I am back to two days only of overt fats. At this point with my 811rv recipes I will make the Fettuccine Alfredo for two days one week and then make my Zucchini Hummus recipe the next week to have 2 days in a row.  This is all.  The other 5 days of the week will be overt fat free.  With all the rest I am doing I should be back down to 27% body fat next week.  I am really looking forward to 26%.  I can hope and work at it.  My overall goal for this 100 day program is 22-24%.  I think with my body type 24% is going to be it.  I'll accept that and take it to the bank with a smile on my face.  I hope that one day 22% will be my norm.  Consistency and diligence are key.

Yesterday I had:
695grms watermelon
9 cups of my ABC smoothie
1.5 cups of my V6 juice (normally 3 cups)
Zucchini Hummus 1 cup with:
231grms tomatoe
62grams mung bean sprouts
24 grms clover sprouts
26 grms lentil sprouts
231 grms corn
79grms sugar snap peas
54 grms red bell pepper

My stats from Cron-o-meter: 2119 calories 86.4% calories from carbs (fruit)/6.7% calories from fat/7% calories from plant-based protein     Very good!!

Unexpectedly I had yesterday morning off and did some things at home.  I will have to give up part of my Sunday day off next month in exchange.  Such is owning your own business.  Trade offs.

I started eating too late in the morning which is why I drank only 1/2 of my V6 juice.

Thanks for reading and commenting in a  supportive way on my blogs.

  1. A few question when you get a chance. :)

What scale are you using? Mine is on its last leg and I would love to track my body fat%

Can you post your hummus recipe?

And can I let the girls know over at Sparks LFRV where your new blogs are?

    Thanks!

  2. I use a wonderful electronic scale that I got on sale for $20. Normally it runs $32 which is still worth it. It weighs in USA and metric and I use both. Cron-o-meter uses metric. I refer to both in my recipes. The brand name is Salter. I believe in back-ups and I bought two.

Yes, please pass this blog info to all who wish to follow. The more the merrier.

I am doing recipe blogs tonight. I just developed a new creation that passed my test. My test, LOL, is if I taste it and the first thing I want to do is swear out loud because it is so darn good, it passes!
