DAY 21 OF 100 DAYS 80/10/10  --- CHANGING THINGS UP AGAIN

As I mentioned before, daily overt fats do not work for me.  So, yesterday I made a concerted effort to be creative in the kitchen with a new recipe without overt fats.  SUCCESS!  I made Moroccan Mashed Cauliflower!  Totally yummischous!  Recipes of all my successes will be posted later today.

Yesterday I started my morning off with water, followed by 1/2 personal size watermelon.  I made my ABC smoothie - 9 cups and also made 3 cups of my V6 green juice.  One change is I don't want to drink my vegies anymore.  Wahoo!!!  So, no more juice.  That will save time in the kitchen.

For lunch I had my Moroccan Mashed Cauliflower.

For dinner I had alfalfa sprouts, lentil sprouts, mushrooms, tomatoes, corn, grated carrots on a bed of baby spinach.  Very yummy.

My Cron-o-Meter stats: 2026 calories - a bit low for me but in my range.  My 811 stats: 87% carbs/5.3% fat/7.7 protein.  My fiber: 67.3grms and my sodium was 371.1mg.  The FDA states we need much more than that, but when is the FDA even remotely educated on the needs of an individual????  Our need for natural SODIUM - not salt! - is 120 mgs per day minimum.  Not 500+ per day of sodium including salt. Salt is toxic!  No matter where it comes from and no matter what color.  Eliminate it from your diet.  This means no processed foods and no restaurant foods.  Eating out is not in your best interests.  Yes, sometimes it is part of socializing.  Those times do your best.  Eat fruit!  LOL

Yesterday I did 2 laps (30 minutes) at the local mall and 1 stair case.  This week my goal is to do this every day this week.  Consistency is key.  This exercise program can be built up to 4 laps and 12 stair cases which is a terrific exercise program.  It takes about 65 minutes and really does my body good.  So that is my goal in 12 weeks time.  Then I will add morning body modality such as Tai Chi, stretching, yoga, etc.  This means almost 2 hours of exercise each morning.  I do not skip days once I start seriously committing to exercise.  I don't do well with 1 day off.  So that is my commitment.

I appreciate all comments to my blogs and thank you for taking time out of your day to read them.

Karen
