DAY 20 LOW-FAT HIGH-CARB 80/10/10 APPROACH TO RAW LIVING
As I mentioned in yesterday's blog, Wednesday night was a restless one. I went to bed with a serious attitude issue. Primarily focused on financial and lack of business issues. This I do know comes up from time to time and is resolved with commitment and effort. I've been here before and I just need some time before it is resolved. That night I had lost an envelope with some cash in it. After the day's work and many smaller incidents I simply needed to delve into the darkness that was emerging from within. I am trained and educated on this Spiritual practice and it is still a little frightening.
So, I did my delving, slept about 6 hours and woke up on time. I got my day started without problems and felt ready for the day. Low and behold I found my cash envelope!!!! Eureka!
Next after I prepared my meals for the day: watermelon, V6 juice without garlic!, ABC smoothie, and packed everything up, cleaned up my kitchen and left my house in order, I went to the mall for my 2 lap 30 minute walk. Ahhhhh!!! Love it!
During my walk I needed to order a warrantied factory replacement for my SmartPhone that was still not functioning correctly since the hacker planted a bug. I got a very experienced woman on the phone and at first I was annoyed because she asked the same questions repeatedly. I hate to repeat myself!!! After we talked for awhile the conversation turned a lot better. I surrendered to her style and it was easier. LOL She not only ordered the phone replacement without further time investment from me (they have a long procedure they need to do normally) because I have the insurance on the plan she sent it to me overnight for FREE! lol I was so amazed by all this good fortune this morning so far that I was overjoyed! I complemented her and thanked her. That made her day. Then she paused, checked my account, and told me that Verizon was initiating a new program (that I suggested months ago!) that not only gave me better coverage but was CHEAPER!!! lol Wow! Of course I took it without hesitation!
The next wonderful financial good news: I had somehow made 2 car payments in the last couple of months and I was going to pay it again next week! So, now I have that money to use for bills for next week and I'm solvent for another week while I advertise and hopefully generate new cleaning clients.
The last bit of good financial news: A client on Friday needs more work than initially scheduled. So more money!!
So the moral of this long story: Don't fear the dark side - it isn't real! But, avoiding it, candy-coating it, poo-pooing it, or any of the multitude of ways we "deal" (avoid) facing that part of ourselves only keeps it in control of our lives!! This is the path of healing. It requires gut honesty. Eating raw enables us to have the wherewith all to face our darkest parts. It is a must!!! Once we do our lives transform without effort. Isn't this what we really want? Yes!
My stats for yesterday from Cron-o-meter: 2559 calories (wow!) 79.3% carbs/12.3% fat/8.5% protein Yes, a bit off from what I want. However, 80/10/10 isn't a law, it is a guide. I am still on track for the week. I am having minimal overt fats and I am consistently staying within the guidelines. On average for the week I am hitting it.
Now that I'm no longer spending hours on the 'net on social media websites I discovered that I have enough time to add back my morning exercise regimen before 30 minutes at the mall walking. I am thrilled! My morning regimen consists primarily of seated stretching; Tai Chi, Chi Gong, resistance in the chair exercises, etc. I stand all day long and this is gentle and effective.
Thanks for reading my very long blog. LOL Thanks also for leaving comments.
Thanks for reaching out. I keep learning so much from your incredible journey and felt really lost on 30bad when I discovered you were no longer there. I did a 2 week 811 and loved the simplicity of it all but fell off over the weekend when eating out with relatives. But you give me hope and light so today I start again. Truly miss you on Sparks. ~Maureen
